About Woodlands Daycare and my extended family…
My name is Zowie Bishop-Saunders I am an Ofsted registered child minder and live with my husband Mick, and two children who are nearly 8 and 12, I also have an older daughter who is 19, my husband also has two other daughters who are 14 and 15 who stay alternate weekends. We have two chickens, two small dogs Winston and Monty and two Turtles, Tiny and Tim.
We live in a non-smoking house on Isle Road Outwell, which is close to Beaupre primary school. It’s a great location for children as we have numerous local play parks close by, we are a forest school and this means we go on weekly outings to a forest or parks. We will also visit the local towns and go to the library, town centre, local beaches, shops, nature walks, farms and Play groups, all of which we visit frequently.
Children have access to our living room, which is mainly used for the quieter activities, such as chill-out time, story time, nap time computer and TV, etc.; the dining room which is used at mealtimes and for activities such as craft, baking, homework, games and puzzles etc; and a comfortable playroom which is for educational and recreational purposes, games, role play etc. We also have a safe enclosed back garden where children can use the water/sand tray/climbing frame/playhouse/trampoline mud kitchen and many other outdoor activities such as, gardening, role play, pipes, crates, art area, bats and balls, climb trees and help take care of the family pets.
My aim is to provide parents and carers with high quality childcare which is convenient, flexible and affordable and to provide your children with a ‘home from home’ environment where they feel safe, secure, relaxed and able to enjoy their time spent here.
Our ethos is to: Learn, Laugh and play in a fun family environment. We strive to create a happy, learning environment where all children can reach their full potential.
I am able to plan activities to suit the ages of the children I look after whilst ensuring their educational needs are met as set out in the early year’s foundation stage. I also offer the 3-4 early year’s funding at my setting every child each term after they are 3 is entitled to 15 hours free childcare. I also provide free places for two year olds if you meet the criteria.
I offer full time and part time places, term time or just holidays, including a breakfast and after school club with a drop off and collection service at Beaupre primary school, and the under 5's center.
If your employer offers you childcare vouchers, such as busy bee, sodexo, etc, I am able to accept these.
